Glenarm Organic Salmon Ltd recognises that it has a significant responsibility to ensure that its farming activities do not compromise wildlife or the environment and are guided throughout by the awareness of the importance of responsible environmental stewardship and of helping conserve Northern Ireland's rich biodiversity.

As a company, we are committed to taking a proactive approach in assessing and conserving the natural surroundings where we operate and conducting our farming business with a view to minimising its impact. We also operate on the principle of restoring wildlife and the environment where practically possible.

Our farms their functions and the surrounding environment are audited annually by the Organic Food Federation to ensure that the highest organic & welfare standards are maintained. More regular audits are carried out by the Aquaculture Division of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) where infrastructure to husbandry is assessed and reported on.
